Nobody

Well, NOBODY was a real unexpected slice of fried gold. It’s the most enjoyable action thriller I’ve seen in the last ten years. I even preferred it to John Wick and it’s sequels.

In terms of the plot, all you need to know is it’s a story about an (on the surface) mild-mannered suburban dad, who finds himself drawn into a violent – very violent (god this film is violent!) – world of bloody vengeance with a huge body count. A classic tale of bad hombres accidentally crossing the wrong guy.

Bob Odenkirk (Breaking Bad) makes for an unlikely action hero, but – like Liam Neeson in Taken – this is a potentially Star-making role. Sadly his health issues might prevent him from having quite the same late middle-aged action movie career as Neeson did.

There’s a great side role in this film for Christopher Lloyd, who’s practically unrecognisable – but terrifically fun. And Micheal Ironside has a small but memorable cameo in there.

But this movie is all about the action set pieces, and by god – it delivers. Some of the most visceral, bone-crunching fights I’ve seen in a movie. Bullets fly, bad guys die. It’s all very cathartic.

So yes. I greatly recommend this one, to all fans of bloody mayhem 🔫💪🩸

The verdict 8/10 Excellent
