A little minireview of a film I saw last night: SOMETIMES ALWAYS NEVER. A quiet, charming and gentle film about father/son relationships and Scrabble, suffused with a delightfully English sense of quirkiness and a truly lovely, surreal visual style. The use of colour and the framing of shots and scenes was never less than artful. And the cast is wall-to-wall with top-tier brit (character) acting talent. All rounded out with a gorgeous soundtrack too. A perfect film to watch on a Sunday evening, as it turned out. You can’t go wrong with a bit of Bill Nighy 🙂
